A floor length shirt gown in a jacquard woven exclusively for Baruni, with a jacket lapel collar and a tie at the waist. The sleeves lift off, so one gown gives you two looks: covered and formal with them on, clean and sleeveless with them off. Lined throughout in soft rayon.
How do the sleeves come off?
They detach at the shoulder, so the gown changes in a few seconds. Sleeves on for a daytime wedding or anywhere you want your arms covered. Sleeves off for an evening event. You are buying one gown and wearing two.
What does a jacket lapel do on a gown?
It gives the top half the structure of tailoring rather than the softness of a dress. The lapel holds its shape, so the shoulder line stays clean whether the sleeves are on or off, which is what stops the sleeveless version looking unfinished.
What is the jacquard, and why does it matter?
Jacquard is a pattern woven into the cloth rather than printed on top of it. The design is part of the fabric, so it holds its depth after wear and does not flatten or fade the way a print can. This jacquard was made for Baruni and is not used by anyone else.
Does the tie come off?
Yes. It ties at the waist rather than being stitched in, so you can wear the gown shaped at the waist or leave the tie off and let it fall straight.
How much do the sleeves cover?
To just below the elbow. The sleeve measures 40 cm on a size S, so it covers the upper arm and the elbow and leaves the forearm free.
Is it comfortable to wear all evening?
It is lined throughout in soft rayon, so nothing in the weave touches your skin, and the tie means nothing is fitted unless you choose it to be.
What are the measurements?
The model is 172 cm and wears a size S: bust 95 cm, waist 75 cm, hips 105 cm, shoulder to hem 152 cm, sleeve 40 cm.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. This typically takes 1 to 2 days from order in the UAE, and 3 to 5 days for other countries. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

High courier fees mean we charge specific shipping rates for Libya, Israel, Iraq and certain other countries. If you are unsure whether yours is one of them, write to us before you order and we will confirm the rate.
Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
