A floor length column in a jacquard woven exclusively for Baruni. The sleeves lift off, so one dress gives you two looks: covered and formal with them on, clean and sleeveless with them off. The lower half of each sleeve and the waist tie are cut in a contrasting fabric, and the neckline sits slightly high. A slit at the back runs to around 45 cm. Lined throughout in soft rayon.
How do the sleeves come off?
They detach at the shoulder, so you can change the dress in a few seconds. Sleeves on for a daytime wedding, a formal dinner or anywhere you want your arms covered. Sleeves off for an evening event. You are buying one dress and wearing two.
How long is the back slit?
Around 45 cm. It sits at the centre back and opens as you walk, which is what keeps a straight column dress comfortable to move in. It closes again when you stand still.
What is the jacquard, and why does it matter?
Jacquard is a pattern woven into the cloth rather than printed on top of it. The design is part of the fabric, so it holds its depth after wear and does not flatten or fade the way a print can. This jacquard was made for Baruni and is not used by anyone else.
Will it be comfortable to wear all evening?
It is lined throughout in soft rayon, so nothing in the weave touches your skin. The lining also lets the dress hang cleanly instead of clinging.
How high is the neckline?
Slightly raised, sitting just above the collarbone. It covers the chest without closing at the throat.
Where can I wear it?

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. This typically takes 1 to 2 days from order in the UAE, and 3 to 5 days for other countries. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Please note that duty charges now apply to shipments to the US, collected by the courier on delivery.
High courier fees mean we charge specific shipping rates for Libya, Israel, Iraq and certain other countries. If you are unsure whether yours is one of them, write to us before you order and we will confirm the rate.
Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
