A two piece in satin, cut as an alternative to the occasion dress rather than a compromise on one. The top is draped and falls asymmetrically, short on one side and almost to the floor on the other. The trousers are wide through the leg with an elasticated back waist, and together the two pieces move as one line.
Why is the top two different lengths?
Because that is the whole idea. It measures 61 cm on the shorter side and 146 cm on the longer one, so one hip is uncovered while the opposite side falls past the knee and down towards the floor. Standing still you read a long line. Walking, the longer side moves against the trouser and the shorter side does not. It is the reason the set does not look like a top and trousers.
How much do the sleeves cover?
Almost the whole arm. The sleeve reaches 51 cm down from the shoulder on a size S, finishing just above the wrist, so the forearm is covered with the hand and wrist free.
Will the trousers be the right length for me?
They measure 107 cm on the outside leg, from the waist to the hem, and they are cut for a heel. That is how they are shown, on a model of 175 cm. On a shorter frame they will break on the shoe, which a wide leg carries well, and they can be taken up by any tailor without touching the line.
Are the trousers comfortable to sit in?
The back of the waistband is elasticated, so the waist gives where you need it to and holds where you do not. It is the detail that lets a tailored wide leg trouser be worn through a long dinner.
Can the top and trousers be worn separately?
Yes, and that is half the reason to buy it. The top works over a straight skirt or with tailored trousers, and the wide leg trousers carry a plain knit or a shirt.
What are the measurements?
All four colours are shown on models of 175 cm wearing a size S. At size S the top measures 93 cm at the bust, 75 cm at the waist, 38 cm across the shoulder, 51 cm from shoulder to sleeve hem, and 61 cm on the shorter side rising to 146 cm on the longer. The trousers measure 75 cm at the waist, 100 cm at the hip and 107 cm on the outside leg.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. From the moment you order, this typically takes 1 to 2 days in the UAE, 2 to 4 days to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, and 3 to 5 days everywhere else. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
