The Verbena Dress is cut from lightweight georgette in an abstract print drawn exclusively for Baruni, soft painterly colour scattered across a pale ground. The bodice is fitted and the waist is defined, then the skirt releases into a full, fluid sweep that moves with every step. Long sleeves gather into an elasticated hem at the wrist. At the back, a gathered keyhole sits below the neckline. Lined in rayon through the body, finished at midi length.
This is a dress for daylight. Wear it to a garden party, a long lunch, a resort holiday or a daytime celebration, with flat sandals through the afternoon and a heel when the evening comes. The same cut exists in a second print as the Lantana Dress, and more pieces like it sit in Resort Wear.
What is the fabric, and is the dress lined?
The outer fabric is georgette. The body carries a rayon lining, which is what gives the bodice and the skirt their weight and keeps the print clean. The sleeves are a single layer of georgette on its own, so they stay light on the arm in warm weather.
How much of the arm does the Verbena Dress cover?
The whole arm. The sleeve runs the full length and closes with an elasticated hem at the wrist, so it stays where you put it when you raise your arm. The sleeve measures 60 cm at a size S.
What does the back of the dress look like?
The back carries a gathered keyhole opening below the neckline, so there is something to see from behind as well as from the front.
How long is the skirt, and how will it fall on me?
Midi. At a size S the dress measures 123 cm from the shoulder to the hem. The model is 175 cm tall and wears a size S, and on her it falls between the mid calf and the ankle. If you are shorter, expect it to sit closer to the ankle.
Is the print exclusive to Baruni?
Yes. The abstract print was created for Baruni and appears on this style alone, so you are unlikely to meet it on anyone else.
Which size should I order if I am between two sizes?
Take the larger of the two. The waist is fitted, so the larger size gives you room through the bodice while the skirt keeps its shape. We also write to you before your order ships to confirm the size is right, so send us your bust, waist and hip measurements and we will check them against the chart for you.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. This typically takes 1 to 2 days from order in the UAE, and 3 to 5 days for other countries. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
