The Oprah Dress is a midi shirt dress in organza, buttoning down the front, with a shirt collar and a tie at the waist. It sits semi fitted through the bodice without gripping, and the skirt opens into a clean A line.
The sleeves are where the dress declares itself. Each one is slashed into long stripes, drawn in by an elastic 60 cm from the shoulder at size S, which lands at or just past the wrist, and the stripes then fall free for about another 12 cm beyond it.
The body is lined in soft rayon. The sleeves are a single layer of organza.
It comes in cornflower blue and royal orange, in sizes S to XL. Our model is 172 cm and wears a size S.
How are the sleeves made?
Each sleeve is cut from organza and slashed into long stripes down its length. An elastic gathers the stripes 60 cm from the shoulder at size S, and below that the stripes fall free for about another 12 cm, so the ends move on their own. Do the sleeves cover the arm?
The sleeves run the full length of the arm, and because the stripes are organza and unlined the arm is visible between them and through them. The body of the dress is lined and opaque.
Is the Oprah Dress lined?
The body is lined in soft rayon from the shoulder to the hem, so the dress itself is opaque. The sleeves are left as a single layer so that the stripes keep their movement.
How does the dress sit on the body?
Semi fitted through the bodice, comfortable rather than close, then open into an A line skirt from the waist. The tie draws the waist in as much or as little as you like. The figures in the size guide are the measurements of the garment, not of your body, so allow 2.5 to 5 cm at the bust for a comfortable fit, and take the larger size if you are between two.
When would I wear the Oprah Dress?

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. From the moment you order, this typically takes 1 to 2 days in the UAE, 2 to 4 days to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, and 3 to 5 days everywhere else. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

High courier fees mean we charge specific shipping rates for Libya, Israel, Iraq and certain other countries. If you are unsure whether yours is one of them, write to us before you order and we will confirm the rate.
Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
