The Jawher Gown is our most requested piece, and the reason is in the cut. Structured taffeta holds its shape all evening, so the full skirt keeps its sweep from the first photograph to the last dance.

A high round neckline is finished with delicate floral beading. The elbow length puff sleeves give coverage through the upper arm while standing away from it, which is the most forgiving sleeve we make. The waist is fitted and sits at its natural line, then the skirt flares generously to the floor. Fully lined in a breathable fabric.

Wear it to a formal wedding, a gala dinner, an evening reception or any celebration where a gown is expected.

Fit note: the puff sleeve suits every arm shape we have fitted. If you are between sizes, we recommend the larger.

The model in red is 175cm and wears a size S. The sky blue and the off white are shown on a model of 172cm wearing a size XS. The size S measures 95cm bust, 75cm waist and 148cm from shoulder to hem, which is 37 1/2, 29 1/2 and 58 1/4 inches.

Is the puff sleeve flattering on fuller arms?

Yes, and it is the sleeve we recommend most often for that reason. It covers the whole upper arm while standing away from it, so nothing is outlined and nothing is compressed. It is also cooler than a narrow sleeve in the same fabric, because air moves through the volume.

Will the skirt hold its shape all evening?

It will. The gown is cut in structured taffeta, which is chosen for exactly this. It does not drop or flatten after a few hours of sitting, which is the usual failure of a full skirt in a softer fabric.

Is this too formal for a daytime wedding?

For most daytime weddings, yes. This is a gown. For a daytime celebration we would point you at a shirt dress instead.

How to measure yourself

Delivery

Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. From the moment you order, this typically takes 1 to 2 days in the UAE, 2 to 4 days to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, and 3 to 5 days everywhere else. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.

If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.

We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Returns

You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.

Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.

Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.

Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.

If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.

If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
