A floor length dress in taffeta, cut with a high waist seam and wide sleeves that flare from the shoulder to the wrist. Studs are set around the neckline and along the waist seam, and a line of gold piping runs around the waist. Lined throughout in soft rayon.
What does taffeta do that other fabrics do not?
It holds a shape. Taffeta has body, so the skirt stands slightly away from the leg instead of falling flat, and the wide sleeves keep their flare rather than collapsing against the arm. It is the reason the dress reads as formal from across a room.
How much do the sleeves cover?
The full arm. The sleeve measures 49 cm on a size S and is wide all the way down, so it covers without gripping anywhere. Nothing sits tight at the wrist, which is what makes a long sleeve wearable in a warm room.
Are the studs real stones?
No. They are studs with a diamond like cut, set by hand around the neckline and the waist seam. They catch the light the way a stone does, and they are fixed into the fabric rather than glued, so they stay put through wear and cleaning.
Where does the waist sit?
Higher than a natural waist. The seam sits just under the bust and the gold piping marks it, so the skirt falls from the narrowest point of the body and the leg line reads longer than it is.
Is it comfortable for a long evening?
It is lined throughout in soft rayon, so the taffeta never touches the skin. The high waist seam means nothing is fitted below the bust, so the dress does not pull when you sit.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. From the moment you order, this typically takes 1 to 2 days in the UAE, 2 to 4 days to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, and 3 to 5 days everywhere else. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Please note that duty charges now apply to shipments to the US, collected by the courier on delivery.
High courier fees mean we charge specific shipping rates for Libya, Israel, Iraq and certain other countries. If you are unsure whether yours is one of them, write to us before you order and we will confirm the rate.
Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
