A floor length shirt gown cut from organza, built on a classic button down shirt with a proper collar and cuffs, then opened up with frills that run the length of the skirt.
The frills are set into the waist seam and held together to the hip, then released below it, so the skirt holds its line through the body and breaks into movement as you walk. A self tie at the waist draws the shape in.
The cuffs give you two dresses. Rolled down, the sleeve sits at three quarter length. Rolled up, it finishes just over the elbow. The whole gown is lined in soft rayon, so the organza floats without catching.
It is a dress for a wedding, a garden reception, an engagement lunch or a long evening where you want to be covered and still feel light.
The fit is true to size and skims rather than holds. If you are between sizes, we recommend the larger.
Both models are 172 cm and wear a size XS.
The size XS measures 90 cm at the bust (35 1/2 inches), 71 cm at the waist (28 inches) and 146 cm from shoulder to hem (57 1/2 inches). The sleeve measures 39 cm with the cuff down (15 1/4 inches).
Is the organza see through?
No. The gown is lined in soft rayon through the body and the skirt, so it is opaque where it needs to be. The organza sits over the lining and is what gives the frills their lift.
How long are the sleeves?
At size XS the sleeve measures 39 cm from the shoulder seam with the cuff rolled down, which is three quarter length. Rolled up, the cuff sits just over the elbow. Your upper arm is covered either way.
Is a shirt dress formal enough for a wedding?

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. This typically takes 1 to 2 days from order in the UAE, and 3 to 5 days for other countries. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Please note that duty charges now apply to shipments to the US, collected by the courier on delivery.
High courier fees mean we charge specific shipping rates for Libya, Israel, Iraq and certain other countries. If you are unsure whether yours is one of them, write to us before you order and we will confirm the rate.
Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
