The Elham Gown is a shirt gown in the classic sense, cut from an exclusive Baruni jacquard with the pattern woven into the cloth.
It opens through a button placket from the stand collar, with long sleeves finished in a beaded trim at the hem, matched by the same beading at the neckline. Pleats release at the waistline and the self tie belt draws it in, so the skirt falls full and generous to the floor.
Wear it to an evening wedding, a formal dinner, a gala or an occasion where you want the presence of a gown with the ease of a shirt dress.
Fit note: the belt sets the waist, so the fit adjusts to you. If you are between sizes, we recommend the larger.
The model is 175cm and wears a size S. That size measures 93cm bust, 75cm waist and 155cm from shoulder to hem, which is 36 1/2, 29 1/2 and 61 inches.
Is a long sleeve too warm for a summer event?
Not in this fabric, and not in this cut. The sleeve is not held against the arm and the gown is lined in a breathable cloth. Fabric weight matters far more than sleeve length in heat.
Is it long enough for someone tall?
At 155cm from shoulder to hem in a size S it is a true floor length gown, and it is shown here on a model of 175cm. If you are taller than that and plan to wear a heel, write to us before you order and we will check it against your height.
What does a shirt gown give you that an evening gown does not?
It opens at the front, so you step into it rather than pulling it over your head, and the belt means one dress fits you across several years rather than one season.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. From the moment you order, this typically takes 1 to 2 days in the UAE, 2 to 4 days to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, and 3 to 5 days everywhere else. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Please note that duty charges now apply to shipments to the US, collected by the courier on delivery.
High courier fees mean we charge specific shipping rates for Libya, Israel, Iraq and certain other countries. If you are unsure whether yours is one of them, write to us before you order and we will confirm the rate.
Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
