The Petal Kaftan is a maxi in foil print chiffon. Frills are attached at the shoulder and run the full length of the kaftan to the hem, on the front and on the back, so the whole piece is edged in movement. The neckline is boat, a detachable tie comes with it, and a soft rayon jersey slip hangs underneath.
It comes in beige and in red, free size. Our model is 172 cm in the beige and 175 cm in the red.
What are the frills and where do they run?
They are attached at the shoulder on each side and run all the way down to the hem, front and back. They are the shape of the kaftan rather than a detail added to it, which is why the piece reads soft rather than straight.
How much of the arm do the frills cover?
About 15 cm from the shoulder. They fall over the top of the arm and then carry on down the sides of the kaftan, so the shoulder is covered and the rest of the arm is free.
What does the foil print look like?
It has a semi metallic effect. The foil catches the light rather than throwing it back, so on chiffon it reads as a soft shine that shifts as you move instead of a hard one.
Does the Petal Kaftan come with a slip?
Yes. A soft rayon jersey slip hangs underneath and detaches completely, with adjustable shoulder straps so you set how long it sits. The chiffon on its own is sheer, so the slip is what makes the kaftan opaque.
What does free size mean here?
The kaftan and the slip are both cut to fit up to a bust of 130 cm, a waist of 120 cm and hips of 140 cm, which reaches from XS to XXXL. Every figure is published in the size guide, so you can measure against your own rather than guess.

Inches are calculated from cm (1 inch = 2.54 cm), rounded to the nearest 1/4 inch. The slip has adjustable shoulder straps, so its length can be set a little shorter or longer than the figure shown.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. From the moment you order, this typically takes 1 to 2 days in the UAE, 2 to 4 days to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, and 3 to 5 days everywhere else. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
