The Floretta Kaftan is a maxi in soft pleated georgette. The sides are cut on a curve rather than straight, so they sweep out and away from the body from the sleeve all the way to the hem. Frills in the same colour sit around the neckline and again at the sleeve hem, and a fine tie draws the waist in.
It comes in purple blue and in salmon, free size. Our model is 175 cm in the purple blue and 172 cm in the salmon.
What are the swirly sides?
The side panels are cut on a curve instead of falling straight, so rather than hanging down they open out from the sleeve to the hem. Standing still the kaftan reads as a clean column. Walking, it turns.
Where are the frills?
In two places, both in the same colour as the kaftan. A band of petal frills sits around the neckline, and the same frill finishes the sleeve at the wrist. Nothing is in a contrast, which is what keeps a piece this wide quiet rather than busy.
What is pleated georgette like to wear?
Light, and it moves with you rather than against you. The pleating gives the fabric a fine ribbed texture that holds its shape without adding weight, which is why a kaftan this full does not feel heavy.
Is the Floretta Kaftan see through?
No. The pleated georgette is opaque on its own, so the kaftan does not depend on anything underneath it. It still comes with a soft rayon jersey slip that hangs inside and detaches completely, with adjustable straps, for when you want the extra layer.
How do I know free size will fit me?
The kaftan falls from the shoulder and does not need to fit. The slip is cut to go up to a bust of 130 cm, a waist of 120 cm and hips of 140 cm, which reaches XS to XXXL. Every figure is published in the size guide so you can measure against your own.
How is the Floretta different from the Petal Kaftan?
They are sisters rather than twins. Floretta is pleated georgette, opaque on its own, with frills at the neck and the cuff and sides that swirl. The Petal Kaftan is foil print chiffon with a semi metallic shine, sheer on its own, with frills running the whole length of the piece. Floretta is the quieter of the two. See more in Kaftans.

Inches are calculated from cm (1 inch = 2.54 cm), rounded to the nearest 1/4 inch. The slip has adjustable shoulder straps, so its length can be set a little shorter or longer than the figure shown.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. From the moment you order, this typically takes 1 to 2 days in the UAE, 2 to 4 days to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, and 3 to 5 days everywhere else. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
