An ankle length dress cut straight, made entirely in a fringed fabric shot through with lurex so the surface catches the light as you move. A wide corset belt in a leather effect fabric marks the waist, the neckline is boat shaped, and the shoulder is dropped. A side slit runs to around 45 cm.
What does the fringe actually do?
It moves when you do. Every step sends the surface in a different direction, so the dress is never quite still and never looks flat. The lurex running through the fringe means it catches light at the same time, which is why it reads very differently across a lit room than it does in a photograph.
How high is the side slit?
Around 45 cm. It is edged in the same leather effect fabric as the belt, so the opening is finished as a feature rather than left as a gap. On a straight cut ankle length dress it is also what lets you walk properly.
Where exactly is the leather effect fabric?
In three places, and they answer each other. The wide gathered corset belt at the waist, the edge of the side slit, and the armhole. It is a leather effect cloth rather than leather, chosen because it holds the gathers of the belt and gives a smooth, firm edge against all that fringe.
How much does the dropped shoulder cover?
It reaches about 10 cm down your arm from the shoulder, so the shoulder and the top of the arm are covered. The seam sits out past the shoulder bone rather than on it, which is why the sleeve falls over the arm instead of gripping it.
Will a straight cut suit me?
The belt is what makes it work. The dress itself falls straight from shoulder to hem with nothing fitted, then the corset belt draws in the waist, so you get the shape without the dress holding you anywhere else.
What are the measurements?
Both models wear a size S at two different heights, so you can see where the hem falls. Maroon on a 175 cm model, black on a 172 cm model. Size S: bust 94 cm, waist 80 cm, hips 102 cm, shoulder to hem 140 cm, shoulder to sleeve hem 10 cm.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. From the moment you order, this typically takes 1 to 2 days in the UAE, 2 to 4 days to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, and 3 to 5 days everywhere else. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
