The Farrah Gown is Baruni's signature shirt gown and the piece most often photographed on our customers at weddings.
It is cut from an exclusive self pattern jacquard, buttoned through the front, with elbow length puff sleeves and a fine trim detail along the neckline and sleeve hems. The sash ties at the waist and the skirt opens into a full A line that falls to the floor.
Wear it as a wedding guest, to a garden party, a daytime celebration or any occasion that asks for something considered rather than loud.
Fit note: the puff at the shoulder balances fuller hips. If you are between sizes, we recommend the larger.
The model is 172cm and wears a size XS. That size measures 90cm bust, 71cm waist and 144cm from shoulder to hem, which is 35 1/2, 28 and 56 3/4 inches.
How far down the arm does the sleeve come?
Twenty nine centimetres from the shoulder, so it finishes at the elbow. The upper arm is fully covered and the forearm is bare. If you want the whole arm covered, look at the long sleeve styles instead.
Is a shirt gown formal enough for a wedding?
Yes, and it is the shape we recommend most often for a daytime one. It has the length and presence of a gown with none of the stiffness, and because it opens at the front you step into it rather than pulling it over your hair.
Will the jacquard be too warm for an outdoor wedding?
It is a woven jacquard with body rather than weight, and the sleeve sits away from the arm. Fabric weight matters far more than sleeve length in heat, and this one is cut for a Gulf summer.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. This typically takes 1 to 2 days from order in the UAE, and 3 to 5 days for other countries. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

High courier fees mean we charge specific shipping rates for Libya, Israel, Iraq and certain other countries. If you are unsure whether yours is one of them, write to us before you order and we will confirm the rate.
Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
