The Rula Dress is the most dramatic piece we make, and all of the drama is in the sleeves.
Cut from a metallic finish fabric with a fitted bodice that flares below the waist, it carries full balloon sleeves gathered at the hem, with beading at both the neckline and the sleeve edges. A feather brooch finishes it at the shoulder. The skirt falls long and clean so the sleeves stay the subject.
Wear it to a gala, an awards dinner, a black tie wedding or an evening where you are happy to be looked at.
Fit note: a full balloon sleeve gives total coverage with nothing held against the arm. If you are between sizes, we recommend the larger.
The navy is shown on a model of 172cm wearing a size XS, which measures 90cm bust, 73cm waist and 147cm from shoulder to hem, or 35 1/2, 28 3/4 and 57 3/4 inches. The gold is shown on a model of 175cm wearing a size S, which measures 93cm bust, 76cm waist and 148cm from shoulder to hem, or 36 1/2, 30 and 58 1/4 inches.
Will a sleeve this full overwhelm a smaller frame?
It can, and we would rather say so. On a petite frame the volume at the shoulder takes over. If you are under about 160cm and want coverage with less drama, a long sleeve with a gathered cuff gives you the same coverage in a quieter line.
Is it comfortable to eat and sit in?
The sleeve is gathered at the hem rather than left open, so it stays out of your plate and your glass. That gathered finish is the reason a balloon sleeve works at a dinner table where a wide open sleeve does not.
How much of the arm does it cover?
The whole upper arm and past the elbow, with nothing held against the skin at any point. It is the sleeve we recommend when someone wants full coverage and does not want to feel covered.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. This typically takes 1 to 2 days from order in the UAE, and 3 to 5 days for other countries. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Please note that duty charges now apply to shipments to the US, collected by the courier on delivery.
High courier fees mean we charge specific shipping rates for Libya, Israel, Iraq and certain other countries. If you are unsure whether yours is one of them, write to us before you order and we will confirm the rate.
Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
