A floor length shirt gown in a metallic effect jacquard woven exclusively for Baruni. Sleeveless, with a V neckline framed by a tailored jacket lapel, a tie at the waist, and pockets set into the skirt. Lined throughout in soft rayon.
Does it really have pockets?
Yes, set into the seams of the skirt and deep enough to use. On a floor length gown this is rarer than it should be. It means you can stand at a reception holding nothing, which is the difference between enduring an evening and enjoying it.
It is sleeveless. What can I wear over it?
The Asabi Cape in black. It works over both colourways, the bronze and the black, so you can arrive covered and take it off indoors. The lapel stays visible underneath either way.
What does the lapel do on a sleeveless gown?
It carries the structure that the sleeves would normally give. The lapel is tailored rather than soft, so the shoulder line stays sharp and the V neckline holds its shape instead of falling open. That is why the gown reads as tailoring from the waist up and as an evening gown from the waist down.
Does the belt come off?
Yes. It ties at the waist rather than being stitched in, so you can wear the gown defined at the waist or let it fall straight from the shoulder.
What is a metallic effect jacquard?
The pattern is woven into the cloth rather than printed on top, and the weave carries a sheen that catches the light as you move. It is a surface finish within the fabric, not a coating, so it does not flake or wear off, and the cloth underneath stays soft.
Is it comfortable for a long evening?
It is lined throughout in soft rayon, so nothing in the weave touches your skin. Nothing below the waist is fitted, so the gown does not pull when you sit.
What are the measurements?
Both models wear a size S at two different heights, so you can see where the hem falls. Black on a 172 cm model, bronze on a 175 cm model. Size S: bust 95 cm, waist 80 cm, hips 115 cm, shoulder to hem 155 cm.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. From the moment you order, this typically takes 1 to 2 days in the UAE, 2 to 4 days to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, and 3 to 5 days everywhere else. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
