About Baruni
Baruni is a luxury occasionwear label founded in Dubai in 2009 by designer Fadwa Baruni, who has designed every collection since. She studied art and fashion design at Edinburgh College of Art after eight years as a petroleum engineer, which is why a Baruni dress is built to hold its own shape rather than relying on the woman wearing it.
The brand specialises in sleeved and covered occasionwear: wedding guest dresses, evening gowns, mother of the bride outfits, kaftans and festive pieces. Sleeve coverage is named on every product and every size guide publishes its own measurements in centimetres and inches. Dresses run XS to XL, kaftans are free size and currently fit up to XXL, and most pieces are priced between 400 and 800 US dollars.
Everything is designed and made in the brand's own atelier in Dubai by a team trained in house, several of them master cutters and pattern makers after more than a decade with the label.
Baruni is stocked at Farfetch, Harvey Nichols in Saudi Arabia and Doha, Galeries Lafayette Doha, Printemps Doha, Tryano Abu Dhabi, Incanto Bahrain and Rubaiyat Saudi Arabia.
