Designer Dresses in Saudi Arabia
Baruni ships to Saudi Arabia from its own atelier in Dubai, and is also carried in the Kingdom by Harvey Nichols in Riyadh and by Rubaiyat in Riyadh and Jeddah. Everything on this site is designed by Fadwa Baruni and made by the team she has trained.
Delivery to Saudi Arabia
Orders leave Dubai within twenty four hours and reach Saudi Arabia in two to four days. Delivery is complimentary on orders over 300 US dollars, and VAT is collected by the courier when your order arrives. You are sent a tracking number the moment your parcel leaves us.
You have fifteen days from receiving a piece to return it. Full details are on our shipping and returns page.
What we make
Baruni is occasionwear, and almost all of it is sleeved or covered. That is the whole point of the house rather than a concession, which is why the collection suits the Kingdom without anything having to be adapted for it.
Most pieces are priced between $400 and $800. Tops and skirts start lower, and outlet pieces are reduced by at least forty percent.
The collections are wedding guest dresses, evening gowns for galas and black tie, mother of the bride outfits, and festive pieces for Ramadan and Eid. Alongside them sit kaftans and resort wear.
Our signature is the shirt gown. It has the structure of a shirt and the presence of a gown, and its buttons let you decide your own coverage. Because it goes on last, it does not disturb hair or makeup already done.
Coverage that is designed in, not added on
A sleeve that is part of the cut hangs correctly and moves with you. A sleeve added to a dress that was drawn strapless does neither, and it always shows. Every Baruni piece is drawn covered from the start, and the sleeve length and any opening are published in centimetres on the product page, so you know exactly what you are buying before it arrives.
Every garment is lined in something breathable, which matters through a long evening in a warm climate.
Sizing, and why we write to you before we ship
Dresses run XS to XL. Kaftans are free size and currently fit up to XXL. Every style carries its own measurement chart rather than one generic size guide, because the cut differs from piece to piece.
Before anything leaves the atelier we write to you to confirm the size you have chosen is the right one. If you are not sure, send your bust, waist and hip measurements to info@baruni.co or by WhatsApp to +971 50 376 0856 and we will reply within one working day. If you are between sizes we recommend the larger. Here is how to measure yourself.
Seeing Baruni in person in the Kingdom
Baruni is carried in Saudi Arabia by Harvey Nichols in Riyadh, and by Rubaiyat in Riyadh and Jeddah. The brand is also stocked by Farfetch, Harvey Nichols Doha, Galeries Lafayette Doha, Printemps Doha, Tryano Abu Dhabi and Incanto Bahrain.
Stock in store is a selection rather than the whole collection. Everything is here on this site, and if you would rather see a piece closely before deciding, write to us and we will send you detailed photographs and its exact measurements.
About Baruni
Baruni is a luxury occasionwear label founded in Dubai in 2009 by designer Fadwa Baruni, who spent eight years as a petroleum engineer before training in art and fashion design at Edinburgh College of Art. Every collection since has been designed by her.
Pieces are made in small runs and most are made once, deliberately, so that a dress stays rare. The house develops its own colours and custom weaves. More about the house and the atelier, and the press coverage.
