The Habiba Kaftan is cut in one piece from sequinned mesh and falls to the floor. The neckline is round and the shoulders are dropped, carrying the sleeve all the way to the wrist. A georgette tie comes with it, and a soft rayon jersey slip hangs underneath.
It comes in black and in beige, free size. Our models are 172 cm.
What is the difference between the black and the beige?
The sequins are the same. What sits behind them is not. On the black they sit on a dark ground, so the kaftan reads almost quiet until the light moves across it and the colour appears. On the beige they sit on a pale ground, so they are visible all the time. The beige is the softer of the two and the more unusual.
Is the Habiba Kaftan see through?
The kaftan itself is sequinned mesh, so on its own it is sheer. That is what the slip underneath is for. Worn together the slip covers you to about 130 cm from the shoulder, and the mesh carries on below it and through the sleeves.
How does the slip work, and will free size fit me?
The slip is soft rayon jersey and it comes off completely. Its shoulder straps adjust, so you set how long it sits. It is cut to fit up to a bust of 130 cm, a waist of 120 cm and hips of 140 cm, which is where the free size range comes from. The kaftan over it falls from the shoulder and does not need to fit, so it is the slip that decides the size, and every figure is published in the size guide.
How do I wear the tie?
The tie is georgette and it detaches, so it is yours to use or to leave off. Fasten it at the front and the kaftan takes a waist. Fasten it at the back and the front falls straight from the shoulder. Left off, the kaftan hangs loose.

Inches are calculated from cm (1 inch = 2.54 cm), rounded to the nearest 1/4 inch. The slip has adjustable shoulder straps, so its length can be set a little shorter or longer than the figure shown.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. From the moment you order, this typically takes 1 to 2 days in the UAE, 2 to 4 days to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, and 3 to 5 days everywhere else. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
