The Entrance Gown is cut from a jacquard woven exclusively for Baruni. It is fitted through the body to about the knee, and from there it opens into a full gathered skirt that carries real volume. The neckline is high, with a split at the centre front that can be folded down into a lapel. Three quarter sleeves. Lined in soft rayon.
It is a gown for the evening that has a moment in it. A gala, a wedding reception, an engagement, the kind of occasion where you are looked at as you come through the door. It comes in Royal Blue and Mulberry, and sits alongside the Hypnotise Gown in Evening Elegance.
Both models are 175 cm and wear a size S. At that size the gown measures 93 cm at the bust, 74 at the waist, 104 at the hips and 146 cm from the shoulder to the hem, with a sleeve of 52 cm.
How does the high neckline fold down?
There is a split at the centre front. Leave it closed and the neck sits high and covered. Fold it back and it opens into a lapel. Nothing buttons or unfastens, it holds its position by the way the jacquard is cut, so it stays where you put it and you can change your mind in a second. Two necklines on one gown with nothing to lose or break.
How much of the arm does the sleeve cover?
Three quarters of it. At a size S the sleeve measures 52 cm from the shoulder, which puts the hem between the elbow and the wrist, around the middle of the forearm. It covers the upper arm and the elbow completely and leaves the wrist free.
It is fitted to the knee. Can I walk and sit in it?
Yes. The fitted section stops at the knee and the gathers take over from there, so the fullness is exactly where your legs need it. Sitting is the same, because the volume gathers around you rather than pulling across you. It looks more restrictive than it wears.
Does the skirt need anything underneath to hold its shape?
No. The jacquard is woven with enough body to stand on its own, which is why the gathers hold their volume without any structure under them. It also means the gown packs and hangs like a dress rather than like a costume.
Which size should I order if I am between two sizes?
Take the larger. The gown is fitted from the shoulder to the knee, so the bust, waist and hip all have to be right, and there is no belt or tie to adjust afterwards. Send us your bust, waist and hip measurements and we will confirm the size with you before your order ships.
Where does the Entrance Gown suit?
Formal evenings. A gala, a wedding reception, an engagement, an award dinner, the evenings of Eid. It is a gown rather than a dress, so it wants a heel and very little jewellery. Let the shape and the jacquard do it.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. This typically takes 1 to 2 days from order in the UAE, and 3 to 5 days for other countries. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
