An ankle length dress cut straight, in a jacquard woven exclusively for Baruni. The pattern is part of the cloth rather than printed on it, which is why it holds its shape through a long evening and still looks right years later.
The neckline is a wide boat shape, with flowers set to one side of it. The same flowers are worked into the cuffs of the three quarter sleeves. An attached tie at the front draws the waist in, so a straight cut dress shapes to you rather than hanging.
At the back there is a slit of about 30 cm that fastens with buttons. Leave it buttoned and the dress is closed to the ankle. Unbutton it and you have ease to walk and the line opens. It is your decision, taken on the day rather than at the moment of buying.
The dress is lined in soft rayon, so the jacquard never sits directly against the skin.
It is a dress for a wedding, a formal lunch, an evening reception or any occasion that asks for covered and quiet rather than loud.
The fit is true to size. If you are between sizes, we recommend the larger.
The models are 175 cm and wear a size S.
The size S measures 94 cm at the bust (37 inches), 75 cm at the waist (29 1/2 inches), 105 cm at the hips (41 1/4 inches) and 139 cm from shoulder to hem (54 3/4 inches). The sleeve measures 37 cm (14 1/2 inches).
How high is the back slit, and can it be closed?
It measures about 30 cm from the hem and it fastens with buttons, so you choose. Buttoned, the dress is closed all the way down. Unbuttoned, it gives you room to walk and to climb a step. Very few dresses let you decide that after you have bought them.
How much do the sleeves cover?
At size S the sleeve measures 37 cm from the shoulder seam, which is three quarter length and sits below the elbow. The flowers are worked into the cuff, so the detail falls where your hands are.
Will a straight cut suit me?
The dress measures 105 cm at the hip in size S and skims rather than follows, and the front tie is what gives it a waist. If you prefer a fuller skirt, look at the gathered and A line shapes in our Mother of the Bride collection.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. From the moment you order, this typically takes 1 to 2 days in the UAE, 2 to 4 days to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, and 3 to 5 days everywhere else. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
