A maxi dress in a foil finished cloth with a metallic effect, cut with a square neckline and straps that cross at the back. The skirt flares from the waist and keeps moving after you stop.
A tie draws in the waist, so you decide how close the shape sits. The dress is lined in soft rayon, so the finish never sits directly against the skin.
It is a dress for a wedding, an evening event or a formal occasion, and it is the simplest shape we make, which is exactly why it carries a strong colour so well.
The fit is true to size. If you are between sizes, we recommend the larger.
The off white is shown on a model of 172 cm wearing a size XS. The other colours are shown on a model of 175 cm wearing a size S.
The size S measures 91 cm at the bust (35 3/4 inches), 75 cm at the waist (29 1/2 inches), 110 cm at the hips (43 1/4 inches) and 145 cm from shoulder to hem (57 inches). The size XS measures 88 cm at the bust (34 3/4 inches), 72 cm at the waist (28 1/4 inches), 107 cm at the hips (42 1/4 inches) and 144 cm from shoulder to hem (56 3/4 inches).
Does the dress have sleeves?
No. Monarda has straps that cross at the back and leaves the arms and shoulders bare, which makes it the most open shape we make. If you want your arms covered, it was designed to be worn with our Roses Cape, which comes in the same royal blue and silver blue.
What is a metallic effect foil finish?
It is a finish applied to the surface of the cloth that catches light the way metal does, without the weight or the stiffness. It does not flake and it does not feel hard. We call it a metallic effect rather than metallic because the fabric underneath is soft and moves like any other dress fabric.
How does the back fasten?
The straps cross at the back, so the shoulders are held without anything sitting on them. The skirt flares from the waist, which means the dress follows the body only at the top and falls away below.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. From the moment you order, this typically takes 1 to 2 days in the UAE, 2 to 4 days to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, and 3 to 5 days everywhere else. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Please note that duty charges now apply to shipments to the US, collected by the courier on delivery.
High courier fees mean we charge specific shipping rates for Libya, Israel, Iraq and certain other countries. If you are unsure whether yours is one of them, write to us before you order and we will confirm the rate.
Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
