The Johara Dress is a midi in a jacquard woven exclusively for Baruni, with the pattern built into the cloth rather than printed on the surface.
The neckline is a soft V, with delicate flowers set along one side of it. The shoulder is dropped, which softens the shoulder line and makes the whole dress easier to move in. The waist is fitted and marked further by a tie at the side, and the skirt is full and falls to mid calf. It has pockets. It is lined with a breathable lining for extra comfort.
Wear it to a wedding, a formal celebration, a daytime reception or an occasion where you want something structured without a floor length gown.
Fit note: the side tie sets the waist, so the fit adjusts to you. If you are between sizes, we recommend the larger.
Both models are 172cm and wear a size XS. That size measures 95cm bust, 75cm waist and 129cm from shoulder to hem, which is 37 1/2, 29 1/2 and 50 3/4 inches.
Does it have pockets?
Yes, set into the side seams of the full skirt, deep enough for a phone. Very few occasion dresses have them, and the women who own this one tell us it is the reason they reach for it.
Where does the hem fall?
129cm from shoulder to hem in a size XS, which sits at mid calf on a model of 172cm. The length barely changes between sizes, so it falls lower the shorter you are rather than rising.
Who does a dropped shoulder suit?
It is genuinely flattering on narrow shoulders, and on anyone who finds a fitted shoulder restrictive. It is less successful if your shoulders are already broad, because it widens what is already wide.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. From the moment you order, this typically takes 1 to 2 days in the UAE, 2 to 4 days to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, and 3 to 5 days everywhere else. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

High courier fees mean we charge specific shipping rates for Libya, Israel, Iraq and certain other countries. If you are unsure whether yours is one of them, write to us before you order and we will confirm the rate.
Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
