The Amara Dress takes the shape of a shirt dress and gives it the collar of a jacket, which is what makes it work for a formal daytime occasion as easily as an evening one.
It is cut in a rayon fabric with some sheen. The wide notched collar opens to a soft V, the elbow length sleeves leave the forearm free, and the belt ties at the waist with a knot detail finishing the back. It falls below the ankle and is lined with a breathable lining for extra comfort.
Wear it as a wedding guest, to a formal lunch, a daytime reception or a celebration where you will be on your feet for hours.
Fit note: the belt sets the waist, so the fit adjusts to you. If you are between sizes, we recommend the larger.
The model is 175cm and wears a size S. That size measures 93cm bust, 74cm waist and 145cm from shoulder to hem, which is 36 1/2, 29 1/4 and 57 inches.
How far down the arm does the sleeve come?
Thirty six centimetres from the shoulder in a size S, so it finishes at the elbow. The upper arm is fully covered and the forearm is free, which is why this one works for a long day in warm weather.
Is it comfortable for a long day?
That is what it was cut for. The breathable lining means it does not cling as the day warms up, and nothing in the dress is tight against the body except where you choose to tie the belt.
Can it be worn in the evening as well as the day?
Yes, and the sheen in the fabric is what makes that possible. Tied loosely with flat shoes it is a lunch or a daytime reception. Tied firmly with a heel it carries into an evening without looking like a day dress.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. This typically takes 1 to 2 days from order in the UAE, and 3 to 5 days for other countries. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Please note that duty charges now apply to shipments to the US, collected by the courier on delivery.
High courier fees mean we charge specific shipping rates for Libya, Israel, Iraq and certain other countries. If you are unsure whether yours is one of them, write to us before you order and we will confirm the rate.
Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
