Baruni's signature shirt gown, in a jacquard woven exclusively for the house. The collar is a shirt collar with a keyhole opening at the centre front beneath it, the sleeves are semi fitted with small individual flowers attached at the cuff, and a tie marks the waist. The pleats at the waist are stitched closed down to the hip before they release, and there are pockets set into the side seams.
What happens with the pleats?
They are held closed from the waist down to the hip, then let go. That is why the dress reads as narrow through the body and then carries real volume in the skirt, instead of flaring straight from the waist the way a gathered skirt does. It is the detail that makes this a shirt gown rather than a shirt dress.
Does it have pockets?
Yes, set into the side seams and deep enough to use. The pleating hides them entirely, so the line of the dress is unbroken when your hands are out of them.
What are the flowers at the cuff?
Small individual flowers, attached one at a time along the sleeve hem rather than printed or woven in. They are the reason the sleeve is worth looking at, and the only decoration on an otherwise plain gown.
How much do the sleeves cover?
Almost the full arm. The sleeve measures 50 cm on a size S and is semi fitted, so it follows the arm without gripping it, and finishes just above the wrist where the flowers sit.
Where is the keyhole?
At the centre front, directly beneath the shirt collar. The collar stands and covers the throat, and the keyhole sits below it, so the neckline is closed and open at the same time.
Do the metal accents change with the colour?
Yes. Black is finished with gold, sky blue and white are both finished with silver. It is worth knowing before you choose, because it decides which jewellery will sit with it.
What are the measurements?
All three colours are shown in a size S. Black and sky blue on a 175 cm model, white on a 172 cm model. Size S: bust 99 cm, waist 76 cm, hips 110 cm, shoulder to hem 160 cm, sleeve 50 cm.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. From the moment you order, this typically takes 1 to 2 days in the UAE, 2 to 4 days to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, and 3 to 5 days everywhere else. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Please note that duty charges now apply to shipments to the US, collected by the courier on delivery.
High courier fees mean we charge specific shipping rates for Libya, Israel, Iraq and certain other countries. If you are unsure whether yours is one of them, write to us before you order and we will confirm the rate.
Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
