The Zaina Dress puts embroidered lace over georgette, which is the combination we reach for when a dress has to look intricate and still move.
The lace carries the detail and the georgette underneath gives the skirt its fall. The sleeves are short, and the length runs to the floor in a clean line from a marked waist.
Wear it to a wedding, an evening reception, a formal dinner or a celebration where you want detail rather than volume.
Fit note: lace has no give, so the size you take should be the one your measurements say. If you are between sizes, we recommend the larger.
The black is shown on a model of 172cm wearing a size XS, which measures 91cm bust, 74cm waist and 153cm from shoulder to hem, or 35 3/4, 29 1/4 and 60 1/4 inches. The off white is shown on a model of 178cm wearing a size S, which measures 94cm bust, 77cm waist and 154cm from shoulder to hem, or 37, 30 1/4 and 60 3/4 inches.
How much of the arm does the sleeve cover?
Fourteen and a half centimetres from the shoulder in a size XS, so the shoulder and the top of the arm. This is a short sleeve, not a covered one. If you want the arm covered, look at our long sleeve styles.
Is it long enough for someone tall?
Yes. It is shown here on a model of 178cm in a size S and still reaches the floor, at 154cm from shoulder to hem. Very few occasion dresses are cut this long.
Why lace over georgette rather than lace alone?
Because lace on its own hangs stiffly. The georgette underneath carries the weight and lets the skirt move, so you get the detail of lace with the fall of a soft fabric.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. From the moment you order, this typically takes 1 to 2 days in the UAE, 2 to 4 days to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, and 3 to 5 days everywhere else. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Please note that duty charges now apply to shipments to the US, collected by the courier on delivery.
High courier fees mean we charge specific shipping rates for Libya, Israel, Iraq and certain other countries. If you are unsure whether yours is one of them, write to us before you order and we will confirm the rate.
Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
