A long sleeved column in crinkle fabric, cut close to the body. Halter seams run from the neckline down to under the arm, traced in fine piping, and the round neckline is finished with the same piping. The sleeves are long and gather softly at the cuff. Lined throughout in soft rayon.
What is crinkle fabric, and why does it matter?
Crinkle is woven with a permanent texture rather than pressed into one, so it cannot fall out. It moves with you, holds its shape through a long evening, and comes out of a suitcase ready to wear with no iron. This is the dress our customers pack for weddings abroad.
How much do the sleeves cover?
All the way to the wrist. The sleeve measures 60 cm on a size S and gathers at the cuff, so the arm is covered without being gripped anywhere along its length.
What are the halter seams?
Two seams that run from the neckline down to under the arm, outlined in fine piping. They are what shape the bodice and what gives the dress its line. It is the reason it reads as something more considered than a plain fitted maxi.
Is it fitted all the way down?
Yes. This is a column, close to the body from the shoulder to the hem. The crinkle has give, so it moves rather than restricts, but it is the most body conscious cut in the collection. If you are between sizes, take the larger.
How does it look on different heights?
The red is photographed on a 175 cm model and the purple, black and teal on a 172 cm model, both in a size S. The same dress on two heights, so you can see where the hem is likely to fall on you.
Where can I wear it?

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. This typically takes 1 to 2 days from order in the UAE, and 3 to 5 days for other countries. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
