A floor length gown in a textured jacquard woven exclusively for Baruni. The sleeves finish just above the wrist in gathered cuffs shaped like soft flowers, the neckline is a V finished with a floral detail, and a slit runs up the front of the skirt. Lined throughout in soft rayon.
Can the flowers at the neckline be taken off?
Yes, but it is a tailor's job rather than a clasp. The flowers sit on their own base rather than on the dress itself, and that base is stitched at only a few points, so anyone handy with a seam ripper can lift it off in minutes and leave a clean V neckline underneath. It is a permanent change, so decide before you have it done rather than after.
How high is the front slit?
Around 70 cm, which makes it the highest slit in the collection. It sits at the centre front and opens as you step, then falls closed when you stand still. It is the reason a floor length jacquard gown is comfortable to walk in.
What are the petal cuffs?
The sleeve gathers at the cuff and the gathered edge is shaped into soft petals rather than left as a plain frill. It is the detail that carries the floral idea down from the neckline, and the reason the dress reads as made rather than bought.
How much do the sleeves cover?
Almost the full arm. The sleeve measures 50 cm on a size S and finishes just above the wrist, so the forearm stays covered with the hand and wrist free.
What is the jacquard, and is it comfortable?
Jacquard is a pattern woven into the cloth rather than printed on top of it, so the texture is part of the fabric and holds its depth after wear. The gown is lined throughout in soft rayon, so nothing in the weave touches your skin.
What are the measurements?
Two models wear it in two sizes, so both are published. Size S on a 175 cm model in red: bust 94 cm, waist 75 cm, hips 110 cm, sleeve 50 cm. Size XS on a 172 cm model in sky blue and off white: bust 91 cm, waist 72 cm, hips 107 cm, sleeve 49 cm.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. This typically takes 1 to 2 days from order in the UAE, and 3 to 5 days for other countries. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

High courier fees mean we charge specific shipping rates for Libya, Israel, Iraq and certain other countries. If you are unsure whether yours is one of them, write to us before you order and we will confirm the rate.
Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
