A floor length maxi in fluid semi satin. The bodice is softly gathered, an asymmetric waistband cuts across to define the shape, and fine beading runs around the round neckline. Sleeveless, so the shoulders are bare. Lined throughout in soft rayon.
It is sleeveless. What can I wear over it?
The Asabi Cape in black. It covers the shoulders and the arms completely while leaving the beaded neckline visible, so you can arrive covered and take it off indoors without losing the detail the dress is built around.
What does the asymmetric waistband do?
It sits across the waist at a slight angle rather than straight, which breaks the vertical line of a long column and draws the eye diagonally. It is also what holds the gathered bodice in place, so the softness above it stays soft without collapsing.
Where is the beading?
Around the neckline only, worked fine rather than heavy. On a plain semi satin dress in a single deep colour, one line of beading at the throat does more than beading spread across the whole piece would.
How does semi satin behave?
It has the sheen of satin with more movement and less shine, so it drapes and falls rather than holding a rigid shape. It photographs deeper than it looks on a screen, and it moves with every step.
Is it comfortable for a long evening?
It is lined throughout in soft rayon, so the semi satin sits over the lining rather than against your skin. The lining is also what stops a fluid fabric clinging as the evening goes on.
What are the measurements?
The model is 172 cm and wears a size S: bust 100 cm, waist 75 cm, hips 105 cm, shoulder to hem 150 cm.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. This typically takes 1 to 2 days from order in the UAE, and 3 to 5 days for other countries. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
