The Sylvie Skirt Set is made in a patterned georgette, a fine square pattern carried in the weave with a hint of lurex running through it, so it catches the light without ever looking like a party dress.
The shirt has a shirt collar and buttons down the front, with wide sleeves that run the full length of the arm and fall away from it rather than following it. The skirt is cut A line to the mid calf and fastens with a zip.
Black panels run down each side of both pieces, which is what gives the set its line and lets the patterned georgette do its work across the front and the back. Both pieces are lined in soft rayon.
Wear it as a wedding guest, to a formal lunch, a daytime reception or any occasion where a dress feels like too much commitment and separates give you more to work with.
Fit note: the shirt skims rather than fits, and the sleeve is wide, so there is nothing held against the arm. If you are between sizes, we recommend the larger.
The models are 178 cm and wear a size S.
Measurements for the size S. Shirt: bust 95 cm, shoulder 38 cm, sleeve 57 cm. Skirt: waist 72 cm, hips 102 cm, length 83 cm.
How long are the sleeves?
Full length, 57 cm from the shoulder in a size S, so they reach the wrist. They are cut wide the whole way down, which is why they move. Every size publishes its own sleeve measurement in the size guide.
Is the georgette see through?
Georgette is a fine cloth and it carries light, which is the point of it. Both the shirt and the skirt are lined in soft rayon.
Can I wear the two pieces separately?
Yes, and most women do. The shirt works over trousers and the skirt takes a plain top, so the set gives you three outfits rather than one.
Why are the side panels black?
They run down both the shirt and the skirt, and they are there to draw the eye down rather than across. A darker panel at each side narrows the line of the whole set and makes it read longer.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. This typically takes 1 to 2 days from order in the UAE, and 3 to 5 days for other countries. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

High courier fees mean we charge specific shipping rates for Libya, Israel, Iraq and certain other countries. If you are unsure whether yours is one of them, write to us before you order and we will confirm the rate.
Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
