The Davina Dress is cut from a metallic foil chiffon, and the thing to know about it is the colour. Each tier is dyed a shade deeper than the one above, so the dress runs lightest at the shoulder and deepest at the hem.
In beige it moves from beige to a darker beige to gold. In pink it moves from pink to peach to orange. In sky blue it moves from sky blue to mid blue to royal blue.
It is built as a fitted bodice with three tiers falling from the waist, where an elastic gathers it in. Ruffles finish the neckline, the armholes and each seam between the tiers, which is what gives the skirt its movement. The neckline is round with a centre front slit of about 10 cm. The dress is lined in soft rayon for its full length.
Wear it to a wedding, a garden reception, a summer celebration or an evening where you want colour and movement rather than structure.
Fit note: the elastic waist gives where you need it, and the tiers fall away from the body rather than following it. If you are between sizes, we recommend the larger.
The model is 175 cm and wears a size S.
Measurements for the size S: bust 105 cm, waist 66 cm, shoulder to hem 140 cm, shoulder 38 cm.
Is the chiffon see through?
The chiffon is light and the ruffles are sheer, which is what lets them move. The dress itself is lined in soft rayon for its full length.
How do the shaded tiers work?
Each tier is a different depth of the same colour family, lightest at the top and deepest at the hem. Beige runs to gold, pink runs to orange, and sky blue runs to royal blue. It is done in the dyeing rather than printed, so the shading runs through the cloth and shifts as the skirt moves.
I am between sizes. Will the waist still fit?
The waist is elasticated rather than fixed, so it gives across a wider range than a seamed waist would. Take the larger size and the waist will still sit where it should.
Is it suitable for a wedding?
Yes, as a guest. It is long, it has colour and movement, and the tiers keep it from reading as formal in the way a structured gown does, which suits a daytime or garden wedding particularly well.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. This typically takes 1 to 2 days from order in the UAE, and 3 to 5 days for other countries. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If we alter a piece at your request, or adjust it to your measurements before it is sent, it cannot be returned or exchanged. We will always tell you what we propose to change and we never alter anything without your confirmation first.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
