The Alyna Skirt Set is a two piece in a jacquard woven exclusively for Baruni, with the pattern built into the cloth rather than printed on the surface.
The collar, the sleeves and the waist tie are cut in a plain black fabric against the jacquard, and that contrast is what makes the whole look sharp rather than busy. The collar is full and puffed, the sleeves are long and gathered, and the top flares into a peplum below the tied waist. The skirt is straight and falls to the floor. The set is lined in a soft rayon for extra comfort.
Wear it to an evening wedding, a gala, a formal dinner or a celebration where you want to be fully covered and still be the most considered person in the room.
Fit note: the waist ties rather than fastens, so it adjusts to you, and the peplum skims the hip rather than sitting on it. If you are between sizes, we recommend the larger.
The model is 175cm and wears a size S. In that size the top measures 94cm bust, 78cm waist and 68cm in length, which is 37, 30 3/4 and 26 3/4 inches, with a 61cm sleeve. The skirt measures 74cm waist, 104cm hip and 102cm in length, which is 29 1/4, 41 and 40 1/4 inches.
What does a jacquard woven exclusively for Baruni mean?
The cloth is woven for us and for nobody else. The pattern is built into the weave on the loom, which gives the fabric body, stops it fading or cracking, and means you will not see this set on anyone who did not buy it from us.
How long are the sleeves?
Sixty one centimetres from the shoulder in a size S, so full length to the wrist, gathered rather than fitted. The arm is completely covered.
Is a two piece as formal as a gown?
This one is. A floor length skirt with a covered top reads exactly as formally as a gown, and it gives you something a gown cannot: two pieces you can wear apart afterwards.

Delivery
Baruni use international couriers to deliver your orders. This typically takes 1 to 2 days from order in the UAE, and 3 to 5 days for other countries. We usually dispatch within 24 hours.
If you leave your email address at checkout, we will send you a tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, so you can follow its progress.
We also write to you before we ship, to check the size you have chosen is the right one for you. If you think it may not be, reply to that email with your measurements and we will confirm before your dress leaves the atelier.

Returns
You have 15 days from receiving your order to send a piece back to us. It must be unworn and unaltered, with its tags, labels and packaging.
Write to info@baruni.co with your order number and we will send you the return address. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and our original delivery cost is deducted from the refund.
Full price pieces are refunded to your original payment method.
Outlet pieces are not refunded. They are returned for store credit, valid for one year on anything on the site.
If a size is not right, message us before you send it back. We can often tell you which size to take instead.
